What Kind of Food Is Available on a Private Jet Charter?

You already know that chartering a private jet means you get to skip the long TSA lines. Plus, you’re not limited by nearly as many luggage constraints. You can even fly with your pets. All signs point to private flying being the best option for your upcoming trip, but there’s still one thing you’re wondering about, and that’s the in-flight dining experience. Let’s dive into the most common questions we receive about private jet dining so you can get the most out of your next private flight.

Do I need to choose from a set menu on a private flight?

As part of our concierge service for all of our private jet charters, passengers are able to make specific requests regarding in-flight food and drinks. That said, you can also order your meal or snacks off of the menu we regularly provide. Note that the menu is subject to change, so if you loved what we served last time, make sure to let us know before your next flight.

How far in advance should I let my private flight crew know about dining preferences?

If you want to ensure specific options during your flight, make sure to let us know when you book your flight. We can likely accommodate specific requests with as little as a few weeks’ notice. If you forget or simply don’t have time to contact us about dining preferences, don’t worry. Most of our clients make use of our existing menu because we provide a well-rounded variety of options.

What are the rules regarding major allergens on private flights?

If someone in your party has a food allergy, please let us know, especially if it is serious. We can always provide options that don’t have major allergens in them, such as peanuts. If necessary and with proper notice, we can refrain from bringing any food or drink item on board that contains an ingredient that one of our passengers is allergic to.

Can my private flight crew accommodate my dietary preferences?

Whether you’re gluten-free, vegan, or sticking to a low-sodium diet, we are able to accommodate your needs and preferences. Once again, it’s useful to give us advance notice to ensure that we have options that not only fit your dietary needs but that you actually enjoy.

Are food options different on a short flight vs. a long flight?

Most of the time, our menu on a short flight will consist of smaller snacks or cold platters of items like fruit and vegetables. On a long flight, we will provide hot meals in addition to smaller snacks. If you’d like to have a full meal on your shorter flight, let us know and we will be happy to make that work.
